Zhone Adds VoATM to Broadband Local Loop Platform

Zhone Technologies announced support for the ELCP (Emulated Loop Control Protocol) signaling standard for Voice over ATM (VoATM). ELCP is a message-based protocol that was approved by the ATM Forum in June 2000 (AF-VMOA-0145) and is based on the ETSI V5.2 standard.



Zhone said it has completed integration of standards-based BLES-CCS/ELCP signaling software and carried out ISDN and POTS over DSL interoperability using its multi-service access voice gateways. http://www.zhone.com
