Earthlink Adds Software Acceleration to Dial-up Service

Earthlink is adding Web acceleration to its unlimited, dial-up Internet access service. The acceleration provides speeds up to five times faster than regular dial-up. The software compresses the size of Web pages and page elements sent to members' browsers. EarthLink first introduced the acceleration tool in March with its EarthLink Plus dial-up service.
