HP Prices Media Center PCs at under $1,000

HP announced a new series of Media Center PCs starting at under $1,000 for the first time. The HP Media Center PCs use Microsoft's Windows XP Media Center Edition OS, which provides digital entertainment features such as recording, pausing and rewinding live television as well as easier ways to organize and share digital music, photos, movies and personal videos. The HP Media Center PCs also includes a Media Center remote control and keyboard with entertainment controls, six-in-one media card reader, TV tuner card and free digital program guide; TV-out ports; six channel audio; six USB ports; two or more IEEE FireWire ports; 10/100BT Ethernet port; and v.90 modem.
