Lockheed Martin and Spectrum Astro Set Sights on Next Gen GPS

Lockheed Martin and Spectrum Astro formed a partnership to pursue the development of GPS III, a next generation global positioning satellite system. The mission requirements for GPS III would be to provide "hyper-accurate" positioning, anti-jam capabilities, velocity and timing data with a high level of security. The system would serve both military and civilian applications.
