University of Twente studies quantum properties in optical chip

Researchers at the University of Twente used photons in an optical chip to demonstrate how quantum mechanics and thermodynamics can be true simultaneously. 

The results, which were recently published in the scientific journal Nature Communications, examined the properties of photons as they passed through entangled channels within an optical chip.
