Lambda raises $44 million for its Cloud GPU service

Lambda, a privately-held company based in San Francisco, raised $44 million in Series B funding to accelerate the growth of its AI cloud. 

Lambda offers on-demand access to GPUs including NVIDIA A100, RTX A6000, Quadro RTX 6000, and Tesla V100.

The funding round was led by Mercato Partners with participation from Adam D'Angelo, Jeff Hammerbacher, Greg Brockman, Lukas Biewald, and Garry Tan, as well as exisiting investors including 1517, Gradient Ventures, Georges Harik, Bloomberg Beta, and Crescent Cove.
