Google Compute Engine Adds Support for CoreOS

Google Compute Engine is now offering of CoreOS, a a new open source operating system that enables users to run their cloud applications, including applications that require Docker container support.

Google says the clustering features in CoreOS pair perfectly with VMs that boot quickly and have a super-fast network connecting them. CoreOS integrates with Google load balancers and replica pools. This allows applications to be scaled across regions and zones.
