Motorola Solutions has acquired Twisted Pair Solutions, a privately-held developer of push-to-talk over broadband applications for secure, real-time communication anywhere, on any device. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Twisted Pair, which is based in Seattle, offers a "WAVE" application for integrating smartphones, tablets and PCs into a secure communication solution that provide with voice, text messaging, location and presence. Twisted Pair’s WAVE Desktop, Dispatch and Web applications provide customers choices in their dispatch communications and unify communications among teams of workers, whether in their office or mobile. The WAVE communications platform provides interoperability to extend land mobile radios, PBXs and other communication systems, allowing teams of employees, whether mobile or in their offices, to effectively communicate through voice, text and data – securely, reliably and in real time – regardless of network, carrier, protocol or device.
