Tenable Network Security Gains $50 Million in Funding


Tenable Network Security, which offers software to identify network security gaps, has raised $50 million in first-round funding from Accel Partners.


Tenable said its Nessus and SecurityCenter software has become the vulnerability management standard for the U.S. Department of Defense.  It is also used by 12 of the 14 U.S. federal civilian departments.

The company is based Columbia, Maryland.
