Broadcom introduced Gigabit single physical layer transceiver (PHY) family featuring new AutoGrEEEn Plus technology, which reduces operating power as much as 95 percent when there is no active data connection and the device is communicating with an Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) link partner.  With integrated SyncE+, the BCM54210E 10/100/1000BASE-T PHY family delivers timing synchronization capabilities at the physical layer.
