Former FCC Chairman Reed Hundt Joins ASSIA Board

Former U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Reed Hundt has joined ASSIA's board of directors. As FCC chairman from 1993-97, Hundt oversaw the introduction of spectrum auctions and the implementation of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 that substantially reduced the rates for international telecommunications service. After leaving the FCC, Hundt joined the boards of several technology companies, including Intel Corp., where he took the seat of co-founder Gordon Moore upon Moore's retirement.

ASSIA specializes in high-performance software tools for dynamic spectrum management (DSM) of DSL networks.

“The addition of Reed Hundt to the ASSIA board of directors further strengthens the company’s reputation as a leader in broadband access solutions, and I am thrilled that an executive of such global renown has agreed to join us,? said John Cioffi, ASSIA chairman and CEO. http://www.assia-inc.com
