Union Members Call for Strike at AT&T Midwest

With their current contract set to expire on April 7th and negotiations at an impasse, unionized members of the Communications Workers of America at AT&T Midwest have voted to authorize CWA leaders to call a strike if a fair contract cannot be reached. Ninety-two (92) percent of voting AT&T Midwest members approved the strike authorization.

About 15,000 CWA-represented workers are at AT&T Midwest in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin.

"These negotiations are all about good jobs. A successful company like AT&T Midwest should invest in rebuilding the American economy and not follow the low road of outsourcing and layoffs,? said CWA District 4 Vice President Seth Rosen.
