Integra Telecom, which operates in 11 states across the western U.S., has partnered with ADTRAN to bolster its Ethernet Services. Specifically, Integra is deploying the ADTRAN Total Access 5000 to bring Ethernet Services to nearly 300 central offices using Ethernet over TDM (EoTDM) technology.
The ADTRAN platform provides support for Ethernet over direct fiber, optical wavelengths (C/DWDM), copper (e.SHDSL, ADSL2+, VDSL2), SONET, and TDM (DS1/E1, DS3). Financial terms were not disclosed.
“Integra's ability to extend a network-wide deployment for end-to-end Ethernet Services using MEF certified solutions brings a great deal of value to our customer base,? said Craig Heidgerken, vice president of engineering at Integra Telecom. “Our customers are looking for private, carrier-grade Ethernet access to all of their locations--regardless of whether they reside in a downtown area, in the suburbs, or a more remote location. With the added deployment flexibility of the ADTRAN solution, we can now exceed our customers' expectations for high-bandwidth access.?http://www.adtran.com
