T-Mobile Czech Upgrades to 100 Gbps with Alcatel-Lucent

T-Mobile Czech Republic has upgraded portions of its fiber backbone to 100 Gbps. The new infrastructure, which links Prague to major cities, is intended for use by corporate clients, and will serve as the backbone for T-Mobile's 3G network, supporting T-Mobile's broadband vision of providing “The Fastest Network�? to its customers.


The network uses the Alcatel-Lucent 1626 Light Manager enhanced with 100G next-generation coherent technology along with the Alcatel-Lucent 1830 Photonic Service Switch (PSS). http://www.alcatel-lucent.com
