Broadcom Announces Full-Band Capture Digital Tuning for Satellite STBs

Broadcom introduced its Full-Band Capture digital tuning technology replaces multiple discrete tuners with one system-on-a-chip (SoC) for simpler, smaller, faster and lower power designs for the satellite TV market. Broadcom's FBC technology digitizes the entire 950-2150 MHz spectrum, allowing any demodulator to tune to any frequency and removing wideband "block" tuner restrictions for a more efficient distribution of video streams and IP services.
