Pacific Crossing, which lost connectivity on its PC-1 North and PC-1 West undersea cables as a result of the Japanese earthquake, confirmed that its cable repair ship, CS Lodbrog, is currently at Kagoshima Port (Southwest Japan). The ship is in port for additional preparation due to the radiation levels at the work area. A new repair schedule will be announced as soon as possible.
The company expects repairs on PC-1 West to commence immediately following the repair of PC-1 North.
Service on PC-1 South and PC-1 East is unaffected by this interruption. http://www.pc1.com/
