Amazon Improves its Virtual Private Cloud

The Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) has been improved with new functionality that opens up virtual networking capabilities to a much broader set of use cases.

Amazon is now supporting direct Internet access into a Virtual Private Cloud. Previously, you needed it was only accessible via an IPsec Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection to your corporate datacenter.

Amazon is now making it possible to define a virtual network topology that closely resembles a traditional network that you might operate in your own datacenter. The customer can control the selection of IP address range, creation of subnets, and configuration of route tables and network gateways.http://aws.amazon.com/
