TI Licenses ARM's Cortex-A series Processor Core

Texas Instruments is the first licensee of ARM's next-generation Cortex-A series processor core. The license was signed in June 2009 and TI has been working on its latest OMAP design ever since.


TI said it aims to raise the bar in high-performance, power-efficient computing with its upcoming OMAP platform for mobile devices while offering industry-leading low power consumption.
