Cable & Wireless Deploys NSN in the Channel Islands

Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) has upgraded and expanded its 3G network in the Channel Islands of Guernsey and Jersey with Nokia Siemens Networks. Nokia Siemens Networks is deploying its Single Radio Access Network (Single RAN) platform, which serves a variety of wireless access technologies by using the same Flexi Multiradio base station. Single RAN removes the need to deploy separate equipment for 2G, 3G and LTE networks, providing operators with a cost-efficient and future-proof approach to building their radio networks.
