T-Venture Makes Strategic Investment in Lantiq

T-Venture, the venture capital company of Deutsche Telekom, has made a strategic investment in Lantiq, which specializes in next-generation access and home networking technologies. Financial terms were not disclosed.

  • In November 2009, Lantiq began operations as independent company. The new entity was created through the sale of Infineon Technologies Wireline business unit to US-based investor Golden Gate Capital. It has since acquired Metalink's WLAN division and the home networking and DSL-related assets of Aware.
