T-Venture Makes Strategic Investment in Lantiq

T-Venture, the venture capital company of Deutsche Telekom, has made a strategic investment in Lantiq, which specializes in next-generation access and home networking technologies. Financial terms were not disclosed.

In November 2009, Lantiq began operations as independent company. The new entity was created through the sale of Infineon Technologies Wireline business unit to US-based investor Golden Gate Capital. It has since acquired Metalink's WLAN division and the home networking and DSL-related assets of Aware.
