Google Reports Cyberattack in China

Google reported a highly sophisticated and targeted attack on its infrastructure originating from China that resulted in the theft of intellectual property and a privacy breach of Gmail accounts of Chinese human rights activists.

Google said the attacks, which were detected in mid-December, were widespread and targeted at least twenty other large companies from a wide range of businesses--including the Internet, finance, technology, media and chemical sectors.

In light of these attacks and the surveillance they have uncovered, Google plans to review the feasibility of its business operations in China.http://googleblog.blogspot.com/
