Bouygues Telecom to Deploy Alcatel-Lucent's IMS in Pilot

Bouygues Telecom has selected Alcatel-Lucent to deploy an IMS pilot network that enables the operator to test new multimedia communications services that are based on the GSM Association's "Rich Communication Suite" specifications. The tests will take place during the second half of 2009, with Bouygues Telecom offering to its mobile subscribers an anywhere, anytime communications experience over any device. Specifically, Alcatel-Lucent will supply the IMS core network and applications consisting of: RCS application servers, IMS session control, HSS (Home Subscriber Server) servers, border gateway, and service/network management functionalities.
