ZTE Launches Multiservice Ethernet Switches

ZTE unveiled new multi-service switches designed for the service edge layer of metro networks or the edge layer of enterprise networks. The new ZXR10 3900E and 5900E series switches leverage an ASIC that was developed in-house.


The ZXR10 scales to support 1,776 GE and 296 XGE ports. The ZXR10 3900E and 5900E can monitor 8K links per 3.3 ms to provide 50ms carrier-class Ethernet and MPLS switchover.


"The ZTE data product R&D Team designed the ZxR10 series according to the growing requirements from European and new markets," said Mr. Zhao Qiang, Deputy General Manager of ZTE Bearer Networks.
