Motorola announced the rollout of its NBBS WiMAX solution, enabling carriers to accelerate the introduction of new revenue generating applications and solutions, while reducing operational and support costs.
NBBS is part of Motorola's overall Service Assurance solutions suite - enhancing Quality of Service (QoS) at the edge of the network. Through automated service provisioning and comprehensive device management, NBBS enables operators to remotely activate, access, configure, and troubleshoot a full portfolio of fixed and/or mobile WiMAX devices; including CPE, PC Cards and handsets.
Motorola said its platform is architected, so that operators of any size will be able to use a single NBBS system for scalable remote management. The solution is standards-based and compliant with Broadband Forum's TR-069 and Open Mobile Alliance (OMA-DM) management protocols, ensuring interoperability with WiMAX devices from a variety of vendors.
