Equinix and Japan's JPNAP Extend Interconnection and Peering

Equinix and INTERNET MULTIFEED (MF), which operates the Japan Network Access Point (JPNAP) announced an extended interconnection and peering agreement. Under the arrangement, the JPNAP peering fabric will be extended into the Equinix Tokyo-2 (TY2) International Business Exchange (IBX) data center.

As a part of the agreement, MF will establish a point-of-presence for the JPNAP service in Equinix's TY2 IBX center, enabling Equinix customers to directly exchange IP traffic, or "peer," with JPNAP's customers, including Internet Service Providers (ISPs), CATV carriers, content providers etc. Similarly, JPNAP customers will have direct access to the extensive international carrier community at Equinix's two Tokyo IBX centers.
