Solera Supplies Network Forensics to Feds Under $1.8 Million Contract

Solera Networks has been awarded a $1.8 million contract with a major U.S. federal agency to supply its network forensics appliances. Solera Networks partnered with DLT Solutions, Inc., a value-added reseller of industry-leading IT products and services. Collectively, they have been engaged with the agency for several months going through a rigorous evaluation and selection process.

Solera's systems enable high-speed packet capture, retrieval, and reconstruction at line rates up to 10Gbps on physical and virtual networks. a network breach occurs, providing the ability for the customer to promptly respond to any event.

"As we've seen with recent events in the news, these attacks are going to occur. Prevention is key, but it is critical to know how to respond when they happen. It's great to work with an agency that understands that network forensics is an essential component of a comprehensive information security strategy," said Steve Shillingford, CEO of Solera Networks. "Solera Networks was selected because it was the only vendor that could meet the demanding requirements of a large distributed government network."http://www.soleranetworks.com
