NTT Com Test 100Gbps between Chiba and Tokyo with Ixia

NTT Communications has employed Ixia's K2 100Gbps layer 2-7 network test solution to validate a next generation ultra high speed network between Makuhari (Chiba) and Otemachi (Tokyo). Ixia's K2 40 GE and 100 GE modules are the first-to-market test solution that allows network equipment manufacturers to test higher speed Ethernet (HSE) standard-compliant devices at line rate.

During Interop Tokyo, NTT Communications conducted a public demonstration at their booth to showcase their next generation ultra high speed network technology. The company connected the Shownet (an interoperability test demo environment at Interop Tokyo), NTT Communications' booth and one of the company's sites in Otemachi, Tokyo in order to test the interoperability and the performance of 100 Gbps routers, switches and transmission equipment.
