Axerra Cites Pseudo-Wire Deal with Tier-1 MSO

Axerra Networks announced that a US Tier-1 MSO has started mass deployment of its AXN pseudo-wire products. The AXN solution enables the MSO to offer its Mobile Network Operator (MNO) customers both legacy T1 and next generation mobile backhaul services over its existing nation-wide packet network.


Axerra's AXN Pseudo-Wire Access Devices are being deployed at cellular tower sites and AXN Pseudo-Wire Gateways are being deployed at Mobile Switch Center (MSC) sites. The end-to-end network is being managed using Axerra's AXNVision Pseudo-wire network management suite.


The company noted that to date it has received equipment orders and has shipped product for MSO services deployment to over 1,500 towers in support of multiple Tier-1 (MNO) end customers.
