NVIDIA introduced a new processor aimed at a new generation of always-on, always-connected HD mobile internet device (MID) that can go days between battery charges. NVIDIA believes OEMS will be able to build MIDs that carriers can offer for as low as $99 with a broadband service. The Tegra MID will support 720p and 1080p video playback, offer Wi-Fi and 3G, and will be optimized for Web 2.0. In addition, NVIDIA partnered with ST-Ericsson to add 3G communication capability into this new platform.
