Sparkplug Deploys Exalt for Backhaul

Sparkplug, which offers business-class broadband services across six states (Illinois, Arizona, Iowa, Tennessee, Nevada, New Mexico), has selected Exalt Communications' microwave radio systems for its backhaul requirements. Sparkplug's services offer dedicated and symmetrical bandwidth up to 1 Gbps. Financial terms were not disclosed.


Exalt's licensed and license-exempt microwave radios cover all popular bands in the 2 - 40 GHz range. The product family now includes Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and a high-capacity 5 GHz radio. The radios feature guaranteed throughput, software upgradeable capacity, low latency and native TDM and native Ethernet support.
