MobiTV and Media Excel to offer Transcoding & Video Streaming for Wireless Service Providers

MobiTV and Media Excel, which provides real-time video encoding and transcoding solutions, will jointly offer advanced video delivery capabilities to service providers. The partnership combines MobiTV's Optimized Delivery Server (ODS) for scalable high capacity video delivery with Media Excel's video encoding and transcoding appliances.


MobiTV recently announced that the number of mobile subscribers' worldwide that access television using its MobiTV service has surpassed the four million mark.
