BridgeWave Supplies Gigabit Wireless for Campuses

BridgeWave Communications announced the deployment of its gigabit wireless to three U.S. colleges: Coppin State University in Baltimore, Md., Rush University in Chicago, Ill., and California State University in Fullerton, California.

BridgeWave's point-to-point wireless links can be used to connect multiple campus buildings in place of leased lines.

BridgeWave's radios are deployed without the obstacles associated with fiber such as cost, licensing or construction needed to lay optical cables. The wireless links are capable of delivering full-rate, full-duplex gigabit Ethernet speeds with the low latency required for many bandwidth-intensive applications.http://www.bridgewave.com
