Occam Networks named two more North American service providers who have selected its GPON products to deliver fiber to the premise (FTTP) and advanced voice, data and video services. The service providers include Sogetel of Quebec, Canada and Marquette-Adams Telephone Cooperative based in Oxford, Wisconsin.
Sogetel, an independent telecommunications company, operates nearly 26,000 telephone access lines in four geographic areas (Beauce-Etchemins, Centre-du-Quebec, Maskinongé and Saint-Liboire) of Quebec through an optical fiber network linking each sector with major urban centers. The company plans to continue to use Occam's BLC equipment to expand their offerings for subscribers.
Marquette-Adams currently provides triple play services to their customers over Occam's ADSL2Plus platform. The company has successfully deployed Occam's GPON solution as part of their network evolution strategy and plan to achieve their goal of 100% deployment of FTTH in the next 3-4 years. Marquette-Adams Telephone Cooperative offers subscribers local and long distance telephone service, IPTV, DSL and Web hosting, and operates 3,500 access lines.http://www.occamnetworks.com
