Seagate's "Showcase" Provide Terabytes of External Storage for DVRs

Seagate is introducing a line of "Showcase" external storage devices designed for use with DVRs and media centers. With initial capacities up to 1TB, consumers will be able to keep up to 200 hours of additional HD movies or 1,000 hours of additional standard definition television. The devices will feature USB 2.0 and eSATA interfaces. Seagate also announced that the Showcase family of products will be designed to be compatible with Motorola's e-SATA capable high-definition (HD) digital video recorder (DVR) set-top portfolio.
