Tellabs discontinues current GPON activities focused on Verizon

Citing economic reasons, Tellabs announced that it will discontinue current GPON activities focused on Verizon. Tellabs said the decision serves the best interests of both companies and their respective stakeholders. It will continue to be a multi-product and services supplier to Verizon.
