Redback and Ericsson Announce Leadership Changes

Redback Networks, which was acquired by Ericsson last year, announced leadership changes and the creation of a larger product unit that will merge Ericsson's R&D resources in Silicon Valley for fixed and mobile IP products.

The new "Product Area Packet Networks" will be headed by Georges Antoun, who is promoted to CEO of Redback from senior vice president of worldwide field operations, product management and marketing. Antoun joined Redback in 2001 and is a former Cisco vice president.

Kevin DeNuccio will retain the role of Redback president until April 1, when he will be promoted to the role of vice chairman and new strategy officer on Redback's management board. In this capacity, DeNuccio will help drive Ericsson's larger all-IP strategy with Redback Board Chairman Bert Nordberg, one of four executive vice presidents at Ericsson.http://www.redback.comhttp://www.ericsson.com
