Patent and Trademark Office Rules for TiVO over EchoStar

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) issued a decision in favor of TiVo in a reexamination of TiVo's Multimedia Timewarping System patent, U.S. patent number 6,233,389. TiVo hailed the ruling.



In a statement, EchoStar expressed disappointment but said the decision, would not impact its pending appeal to the Federal Circuit court, where the company hopes the court will reverse a earlier district court ruling."http://www.tivo.com
