Broadcom Supplies VDSL2 Chipset for Ericsson's EDA Broadband Access Line

Broadcom is supplying its VDSL2 chipset to Ericsson for its EDA Broadband Access product line. The companies said the integration of Broadcom's VDSL2 in Ericsson's EDA VDSL2 portfolio is a result of a long-term cooperation initiated in 2001.

Based on Broadcom's "BladeRunner" DSL chipset, Ericsson's EDA VDSL2 platform is a new generation broadband solution that provides access speeds of up to 100 Mbps over existing copper networks enabling simplified network structure and enhanced cost-efficiency for operators.
