Catcher Holdings, which supplies ruggedized, portable handheld computing platforms for security applications and first responders, agreed to Vivato Networks, a provider of extended-range wireless network infrastructure equipment and services.
The acquisition combines Catcher's patented real-time computing and communication platforms with Vivato Networks' extended reach WiFi base-station technology, using Vivato's patented packet steering, phased array technology. The new company will deliver aggregated, standards-based solutions addressing technology requirements where ruggedized, mobile computing devices and high-speed network connectivity are needed.
