Vodafone Iceland has deployed Allot Communications' service optimization solution to ensure Quality of Experience (QoE) both residential and corporate subscribers. Allot's NetEnforcer devices providing DPI-based real-time monitoring are installed on their peering links. The carrier has observed that traffic surges were being caused by a relatively small number of heavy users, consuming vast quantities of bandwidth for recreational use. Reports generated by the Allot NetXplorer Reporter confirmed P2P applications were responsible for 60% of inbound traffic, and 80% of outbound traffic. Vodafone's operations were able to deploy policies to alleviate the congestion and guarantee the maximum QoE to all subscribers on the network at all times. http://www.allot.com/
