Ixia Offers 10 GigE Traffic Test Solution

Ixia introduced a single blade test solution that emulates line-rate, real-world (stateful) 1 Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 GbE) traffic.
Ixia's XMV12X Load Module with its IxLoad test application allows the processing power of multiple onboard, high performance CPUs to be aggregated through one or more ports, providing the required performance to test and verify the most resource-intensive mix of services and applications.



Ixia said the new XMV12X Load Module creates an "in demand" solution to ensure performance and security by emulating traffic conditions and patterns that closely mirror the conditions of the live deployment of devices and applications on today's networks. The ability to aggregate and target the separate CPUs at an individual port enables the most stateful and realistic emulation of video, voice and data, as well as potential threats to network security.
