Marvell Debuts Bluetooth Version 2.0 Chip

Marvell introduced a single-chip solution featuring a Bluetooth Core Specification Version 2.0 + Enhanced Data Rate (EDR)-compliant baseband, a radio frequency (RF) transceiver, and a worldwide FM radio receiver.



The new chip, which is Marvell's second device enabling Bluetooth Version 2.0 + EDR features, is aimed at high-volume consumer applications such as cell phones and portable media players. It supports simultaneous use of Bluetooth applications and FM radio, and includes support for the new Bluetooth Version 2.1 + EDR features. It is currently sampling and will be in production in the second half of 2007.\http://www.marvell.com
