Marvell to Support Microsoft Network Access Protection in Switching Silicon

Marvell announced support for Microsoft Network Access Protection technology in its multilayer switching silicon and related software.

Network Access Protection is a policy enforcement technology in Windows Vista and the forthcoming Windows Server (code-named "Longhorn") operating systems that allows customers to better protect network assets from unhealthy computers by enforcing compliance with network health policies.

"With the incorporation of Network Access Protection into our switching products, we can provide an additional layer of policy enforcement that is already built into the Windows Vista and Windows Server operating systems," stated Simon Milner, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Business Unit, Communications and Consumer Business Group at Marvell.
