Alvarion Pursues Open Ecosystem for WiMAX Deployments

Alvarion is pursuing an "OPEN WiMAX" ecosystem to match best-of-breed IP platforms from core network equipment to consumer electronics to its WiMAX systems. Alvarion said the IP open architecture of its OPEN WiMAX would enable service providers ton choose any combination of vendors and partners to best fit their specific requirements.
