Japan's Matsushita Electronic Industrial Co. has awarded AT&T a contract for a global VPN that will provide the company's SWIFTNet connection. SWIFTNet is the latest messaging platform used by the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) for global financial transactions.
AT&T already provides AT&T global VPN network services to numerous Matsushita locations in the United States and Europe as part of a global network infrastructure that supports its international business operations.
