Motorola has chosen Conexant's advanced multimedia processor and network processor for use in one of its next-generation set-top platforms. The forthcoming set-top is intended to offer consumers a more flexible and compelling entertainment experience. Financial terms were not discosed.
"Converging networking and media processing technologies are driving the demand for innovative new solutions that allow consumers to manage and control many different devices in their digital home network," said Lewis Brewster, Conexant chief operating officer, and executive vice president and general manager of the company's Broadband Media Processing business.
