Ditech Networks has enhanced its Packet Voice Processor, a border media processing platform designed to enable carriers to deploy universal transcoding and toll-quality VoIP services, with support for the Internet Low Bit Rate Codec (iLBC) along with its existing broad range of voice codecs. Ditech's PVP will support up to 16,000 simultaneous iLBC transcoding sessions in combination with its Voice Quality Assurance software suite.
In addition to iLBC, the Ditech Packet Voice Processor now supports G.711, G.723.1, G.726, G.729, G.729a, G.729b, G.729ab, G.729e, G.729.
