After 20 rounds, the FCC's auction of licenses for Advanced Wireless Services (AWS-1) spectrum has topped $10 billion in bids. The leading bidder remains T-Mobile, which so far has bid in excess of $3.0 billion, followed by Cellco Partnership (Verizon Wireless) at $2.8 billion, and Spectrum Co. (backed by Comcast, Time Warner, Cox and Sprint Nextel) at $1.5 billion.
