BellSouth Expands Metro Ethernet Portfolio with Mid-band Options

BellSouth has expanded its Metro Ethernet Service portfolio to include mid-band speed options for business customers: 2 Mbps, 4 Mbps and 8 Mbps. BellSouth Metro Ethernet Service also offers previously available data transport speeds of 10 Mbps, 20 Mbps, 50 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 250 Mbps, 500 Mbps and 1000 Mbps.



The new speeds can be offered over existing copper or fiber infrastructure, which helps drive broadband business applications deeper into corporate networks and reduces customer implementation costs.

As part of its Metro Ethernet Service portfolio, BellSouth offers Premium Service that includes committed bandwidth, bursting capabilities, traffic prioritization, VLAN aggregation, Service Level Agreements and Customer Network Management.
