Tellabs unveiled a fully featured MSPP that fits into one standard rack unit (size 44mm).
The Tellabs 6325 edge node is a fully redundant, carrier-class MSPP designed for deployment in access or metro network locations for both wireless and wireline applications.
MSPPs transport a mix of TDM and data traffic over a Next-Generation Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (NG-SDH) infrastructure.
Golden Telecom (Ukraine) is one of the first customers to order the 6325 node to expand its existing network, which is based on Tellabs technology.
As part of the Tellabs IntegratedMobile solution, the Tellabs 6325 node can provide capacity, redundancy and grooming at the edge of a RAN network. The Tellabs 6325 edge node also is part of the Tellabs AssuredEthernet solution and enables wireline service providers to offer triple-play services. It will provide carrier-class Ethernet using MPLS for service differentiation.
